E-Therapy, and Sites Offering Services
Many sites now offer mental health services over the Net. No online interaction is a substitute for a face-to-face interaction, and it is not currently possible to diagnose and treat disorders online. This does not mean that these interactions won't be helpful, just that they have limitations. It is important to keep these limitations in mind.
Some Thoughts on e-Therapy
From a reader - I feel that e-therapy should be able to operate across the broad spectrum of the Internet quite freely. I also feel that any abuse should be dealt with severely. Having said that I reiterate that therapists should not be restricted, on the Internet to practice solely in the area in which they reside.
