Mental health consumers and family members have been active in creating sites about the disorders that affect them. Most of these sites are actually created by persons who have been given a diagnosis. I wrote reviews highlighting the best of these sites in 1997. A high-profile organization which advocates for consumers with severe mental illness.
Missouri Institute of Mental Health Program in Consumer Studies and Training
This site is part of a study to "evaluate the effectiveness and costs associated with consumer operated services as an adjunct to traditional mental health services."

A changing site that consists of a survivor's journal. Very poetic and moving.
