If you saw the Bill Moyers Special "Healing and the Mind" you are familiar with Jon Kabat-Zinn's stress management program based on Mindfulness Meditation - a form of Budhist meditation.   This book presents the basic concepts of mindfulness in an enagaging, practical way.  I frequently recommend this book to patients who spend too much time dwelling about the past or worrying about the future.
