How to Meditate Mindfully

Mindfulness meditation is simple, but not easy.  The following steps will get you started.

Difficulty Level: Average      Time Required: 15 minutes


Here's How:
  1. Sit or lay quietly and notice your breath moving in and out.
  2. Notice anything else you feel in your body.
  3. As other thoughts intrude, let them go.
  4. Remain aware of being in the present moment.
  5. Practice for 15 - 20 minutes daily.
  6. As the chatter in your mind settles down you will discover a peaceful state.
Tips:
  1. You can eat, drink, or walk mindfully by focusing exclusively on eating, drinking, or walking.
  2. Stop and notice your breath at various times throughout the day.
  3. Cultivate a sense of being, rather than always feeling like you have to be doing something.
