Transcendental Meditation Manages Heart Disease Symptoms

Coronary Heart Disease patients underwent a sixteen week trial period of incorporating the practice of Transcendental Meditation into their activities. For comparison, a second group of patients in the study received health instruction. The study found that patients learning meditation had ower blood pressure, improved fasting blood glucose and insulin levels, and greater stability of autonomic nervous system functions. Other forms of meditation probably have similar benefits.
