Should Mental Health Professionals Assist in Interrogations?

Almost all mental health professionals believe that it is unethical to assist in the interrogation of prisoners of war (and other "detainees" who have not been granted that status). The Pentagon on Tuesday adopted a new policy that continues to allow this - referring to mental health professionals who assist in interrogations as "behavioral science consultants."
