Japanese Mental Health Agency Opens Suicide Prevention Site

Japan's National Institute of Mental Health announced on Tuesday it has opened a website focused on suicide-prevention. The site, named "Ikiru (to live)," provides reports on suicide studies and statistics on suicides compiled by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and the National Police Agency. According to the health ministry, 30,227 people killed themselves in Japan in 2004.
