China Opens Clinic for Internet Addiction

The Internet has affected Chinese society in a number of ways. Like in other countries, some people have developed probems with the technology. A Bejing clinic has opened to treat Internet addiction in China.
An AP article quotes the clinic's director, Dr. Tao Ran as stating that "All the children here have left school because they are playing games or in chat rooms everyday. They are suffering from depression, nervousness, fear and unwillingness to interact with others, panic and agitation. They also have sleep disorders, the shakes and numbness in their hands."
