Side Effects of Atypical Antipsychotics Get More Attention

A new survey of psychiatrists suggests that they "are doing a modest job" monitoring for weight gain, diabetes and other metabolic problems that sometimes result from use of the newer "atypical antipsychotics" for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. These drugs are much better then older drugs, but they do create some problems in some people.
