Bright Light may help All Depression
Monday April 4, 2005
A new meta-analysis of recent research has concluded that bright light therapy may be helpful in treating depression, not just seasonal affective disorder (SAD). Dawn simulation (bright light that comes on in the morning - sometimes built-into an alarm clock) helped SAD but not other forms of depression. Light didn't seem to help if the subjects were also taking an antidepressant.
