Neurontin Marketed Illegally for Bipolar Disorder

Pfizer admitted that one of its divisions illegally marketed its anticonvulsant medication Neurontin (gabapentin) to doctors for uses unapproved by the US Food and Drug Administration.

Documents filed in Franklin v. Parke-Davis and unsealed over the last several months allege that the company deliberately formed a plan to persuade doctors to prescribe Neurontin for bipolar disorder, diabetic neuropathy, migraine, panic disorder and other conditions - all in the name of profit.
