Congress to Study Antidepressant Suicide Link

A committee of the U.S. House of Representatives reported Friday that it will investigate whether the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) fully disclosed disagreements among its own scientists over a possible link between antidepressant medications and suicide in children.
The FDA itself is currently investigating whether antidepressants are implicated in suicidal behavior by children or adolescents. It's a tricky issue, since we already know that depression is linked to suicidal behavior.
