Eating Disorders can Affect Pregnancy

A new study suggests that your odds of having a low birth-weight baby are increased if you have been hospitalized for an eating disorder before you became pregnant.

Women with a previous eating disorder were almost twice as likely to deliver a low-birth weight baby compared to those without an eating disorder.
