HIV Progresses Faster in Shy People

We know that stress affects the immune system. A new study suggests that shyness may actually encourage the development of AIDS in people who are HIV positive. The recent study also suggests a mechanism for this effect.
The researchers found that the autonomic nervous system in shy persons releases the hormone norepinephrine that seems to increase HIV replication.
