Smell Problems may be early sign of Schizophrenia

It's not that people with schizophrenia smell bad. Australian researchers have found that people who later develop schizophrenia seem to have difficulty identifying and describing smells.
Researchers at Melbourne University spent several years following a group of patients at high risk of psychosis. They found that those who went on to develop schizophrenia had difficulty identifying smells at their initial assessment.
