So-called 'technological addictions' have always been controversial. It didn't help when some of the proponents of 'internet addiction' also set-up Online clinics to treat this 'disorder.' Now some say that people are becoming addicted to cell phone text messaging.
Text messaging remains more popular in Eurpoe and Asia than in the United States. U.K. clinicians claim that some of their patients have spent up to seven hours a day text messaging with their cell phones.
