Severe ADD may Increase Later Drug Use

A new study published in Journal of Abnormal Psychology has found that children who have attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are more at risk for using illicit drugs, having problems with alcohol, smoking cigarettes, and using marijuana in their adolescence than children without ADHD.

The study compared drug use between 142 teenagers diagnosed with ADHD in childhood with 100 children without ADHD.
